Absolutely—we take allergies very seriously! Your safety is our top priority, so we carefully record all allergies and dietary requirements and highlight for all kitchen staff. We prepare meals with extra attention and care. Your meal will have a label to state the allergen ine. "Gluten Free" If you have any allergies or intolerances, just let us know—we’ll do everything we can to keep your meals safe, suitable, and delicious, even if the chef has to go off menu a little!

Good food doesn’t have to break the bank! At 1 Oak Community Meals, our pricing is simple and affordable, it is £7.50 for a main course and it is £10.00 for a two-course meal that includes dessert. We aim to provide affordable meals on wheels in Sudbury without compromising on quality or taste.

We’ve got your weekends covered too! Meals are delivered on Fridays for the weekend, we offer one hot and one cold option. They come ready to reheat in the microwave or served cold options like a classic ploughman’s. So whether you fancy something warm or something light, you’ll always have a stress-free meal ready to go over the weekend.

Of course—you’re in charge of your menu! We use a rolling 4-week menu, which means you can choose your meals in advance, orders are taken for the full four weeks and then the menu then repeats—so favourites never disappear for long! It’s all about giving you variety, choice, and something to look forward to each day.

All of our business are separate entities, for example the Home Care is 1 Oak Group Limited and the Home 4 Life is 1 Oak Services Limited.

The Community Meals is a CIC as it is a non-profit enterprise that we want to give back to the community. The owners take no profit and any profits are invested back into the community. We have grand plans on what we want to achieve!

The CIC was created in just 10 days after a local charity closed down - so we wanted to give back to the Sudbury community that we love.

Yes—and it’s all part of the service. If you would like our friendly drivers will help unwrap your meal, make sure everything is set up nicely and grab cutlery if needed. It’s those little touches that turn a delivery into something much more—a helping hand and a friendly face.

No problem—life happens! If you need to cancel or reinstate a meal, just let us know by 9am on the day. This gives our amazing kitchen team (aka our kitchen superstars) enough time to adjust and avoid food waste. If you let us know after 9am, you will still be charged.

We will get the link to the order form sent over and also go through the onboarding form (Next of kin, allergies, delivery address, keysafe etc)

We will always try to help straight away, even if it is a hot meal that is not on the menu. Emergencies happen and we are happy to help lighten the load.
